The Motus Team

Ron Kochevar, DPT, OCS, GCS, RYT

A healer for the past 23 years, Ron has worked extensively both within the western medical model and outside of it. He is a doctor of physical therapy, with a number of board certifications and he has been initiated in the healing traditions and wisdom teachings of the Andes, specifically in the lineage of the Laika, the Inka medicine people. Currently his time is split between a physical therapy practice and an energy medicine practice - integrating the two seemingly separate worlds.

Ron leads 3 and 5-day workshops/retreats based in the lineage of shamanic energy medicine in which he is trained. These workshops consist of taking participants through the directions of the medicine wheel, sacred ceremony, and initiating participants with some of the technical rites of the lineage. He also teaches physical therapy students at the doctoral level in the Cal

“Among all of the experts I've gained from, few, if any, compare to RON KOCHEVAR's remarkable perspective, healing methods, holistic care and practice. Ron is one of those rare individuals who draws from methodologies and practices going all the way back to the most primitive tribes and their shamans - - and seamlessly integrate those ancient rituals with state-of-the-art neurological information and ideas that science has only recently discovered.”

Love & Light.”

Lois Isenman, PhD, Cognitive Science

Lois studies the science and experience of intuition, as a Resident Scholar at the Women’s Studies Research Center at Brandeis University. After obtaining her PhD in Cell Physiology from U. C. San Francisco, she worked as a biologist. She came to realize that she approached her scientific work differently from most of her colleagues and that this reflected a cognitive style unusually weighted towards intuition. As a Science Scholar at the Bunting Institute of Radcliffe College, she began trying to understand what intuition actually means and how it works. Quite to her surprise, she had a number of complex and revealing intuitions about intuition. In part using these as a guide, she has explored the biological and cognitive mechanisms that likely underlie this elusive mental capacity. This has in turn allowed her to deepen her understanding of the experiential material. Lois has written a number of articles on intuition and its role in science. She is also near completing a long-term project, a book titled Understanding Intuition: A Sense of the Whole, which resonates the science and experience of intuition and provides a bridge between these two seemingly very different ways of knowing.

“Over the past decade Lois Isenman has adopted an innovative approach to studying the nexus between science and unconscious cognition. Inspired by her fascination with the process of "intuition," she has delved into its multi-layered complexities with great insight and originality, while remaining true to the rigor of her scientific background.”
